Seahawks' Jamal Adams: Begins camp on PUP list
Adams (quadriceps) was placed on the Seahawks' active/PUP list Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Adams missed nearly the entirety of the 2022 season after suffering a torn quadriceps muscle during a Week 1 win over Denver. The 2017 first-round pick received three straight All-Pro honors from 2018 to 2020 but has been plagued with injuries over the past two seasons. Head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that he's hopeful Adams will be ready to go for the Seahawks' season opener Sept. 10 versus the Rams.

Seahawks' Jamal Adams: Return timeline still unclear
Adams' (quadriceps) status remains uncertain, Nick Shook of NFL.com reports.
Adams played in just one game before suffering a season-ending quadriceps injury last year. "He's doing well," Seahawks general manager John Schneider said Thursday. "He's working his tail off. We want to be really careful with this. It's been two years in a row where he's been banged up now." Seattle traded for Adams in July 2020 and he went on to set a NFL record for sacks as a defensive back (9.5), but he's appeared in just 25 games overall in the past three seasons.

Seahawks' Jamal Adams: Continues to progress
Adams (knee) is making a push to be ready for the start of training camp, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Adams is progressing well after tearing his quadriceps during Seattle's Week 1 win over the Broncos. Head coach Pete Carroll said that the 27-year-old will be ready for the start of the regular season and that he could even be back in time for the start of training camp. Adams will be a part of a talented safety trio next season playing alongside Quandre Diggs and Julian Love provided the 2017 first-round pick can return to his pre-injury form.

Seahawks' Jamal Adams: Making progress in recovery
Adams (knee) remains without a timeline for full health, according to head coach Pete Carroll, but he is starting to move and do work on a treadmill, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Adams suffered a torn quadriceps tendon in his right knee Week 1, which required surgery and forced him out for the entire season. It's still unclear when he'll be able to participate in full for any offseason activities, but the 27-year-old is expected to be ready for the start of the 2023 season.

Seahawks' Jamal Adams: Officially out for season
Head coach Pete Carroll confirmed Tuesday that Adams (knee/quadriceps) won't return in the 2022 season, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Carroll finally ruled out Adams for the season after dancing around the subject for more than a month following the safety's surgery to repair a torn quadriceps tendon in his right knee. Ryan Neal has taken over duties at strong safety in the meantime. Injuries have been a serious issue for Adams, who only played 24 games between the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Adams is on track to make it back for the 2023 campaign. He will immediately reclaim his starting role once he returns.
