Steelers' Kenny Pickett: Showing improvement early in camp
Pickett has been making good reads in practice early in training camp, Mark Kaboly of The Athletic reports.
Pickett had an up-and-down rookie season in 2022, completing 63.0 percent of his passes for 2,404 yards, seven touchdowns and nine interceptions while rushing 55 times for 237 yards and three touchdowns. He had some encouraging games but had some inefficient performances and topped 200 passing yards in just four of his 13 games last year. He enters the 2023 campaign as the Steelers' clear starting quarterback and has impressed during training camp, but he'll likely be somewhat limited by offensive coordinator Matt Canada's run-first offense.

Steelers' Diontae Johnson: Impressing at camp
Johnson has been "quietly shining" during the first week of training camp, Nick Farabaugh of SteelersNow.com reports.
Johnson had an early exit during practice late last week due to the heat but returned a day later and has made an impression within the Steelers' offense. Farabaugh said that Johnson made some contested catches Thursday and hasn't been running backwards as much in camp, an issue that plagued the receiver last year. The 2019 third-rounder secured 86 of 147 targets for 882 yards while rushing seven times for 25 yards in 2022, but he was held without a touchdown for the first time in his career. However, it seems likely that Johnson will be able to maintain a sizable target share in 2023, even with George Pickens and new acquisition Allen Robinson also in the fold.

Steelers' Alfonzo Graham: Reverts to IR
Graham (undisclosed) has been placed on injured reserve, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
After being waived by Pittsburgh with an injury designation Wednesday, the rookie running back has been reverted to IR. The injury is still unknown, but the 23-year-old will be forced to miss the entirety of the 2023 campaign unless he works out an injury settlement with the team.

Steelers' Isaiah Dunn: Picked up by Pittsburgh
Dunn has signed a contract with the Steelers, Tessa Varley of the team's official website reports.
Dunn entered the league as an undrafted rookie in 2021 and suited up for 11 games with the Jets before playing in five games with the Seahawks last season. He has recorded eight solo tackles in his two-year career. The Oregon State product will now compete with several other cornerbacks in an attempt to secure a role on Pittsburgh's 53-man roster in the upcoming season.

Steelers' Cory Trice: Heads to injured list
Trice (undisclosed) was placed on Pittsburgh's injured reserve list Wednesday.
The 2022 seventh-round pick out of Purdue will be sidelined after suffering an unknown injury, but it must be pretty significant for him to be placed on IR. Trice will now miss the entire season unless he gets waived with an injury settlement.

Steelers' Alfonzo Graham: Let go by Pittsburgh
Graham (undisclosed) was waived by the Steelers with an injury designation Wednesday.
After signing with Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent this offseason, the team has decided to cut ties with Graham. In his two years at Morgan State, the running back tallied 1,656 yards on the ground and 13 touchdowns. It is unclear what the rookie's injury is at the moment.
