  • Jaguars' Josh Wells: Recovered from last season injury

Wells (knee) has been participating during training camp, John Shipley of SI.com reports.

Wells suffered a torn left patellar tendon last season, but he's fully recovered and has been on the practice field during camp. He's working to earn a depth role with the Jaguars after signing with the team in April.

  • Jaguars' Travis Etienne: Improvements noted by coach

Jaguars running back coach Bernie Parmalee indicates that he's seen improvements from Etienne as the 2023 season approaches, Alessandra Pontbriand of news4jax.com reports. "Really his all-around game (has improved)," Parmalee noted Wednesday of the 2021 first-rounder. "His reads, which he has done a phenomenal job this year. Pass (protection), he has really taken that to a new level."

After missing his entire rookie campaign due to a foot injury, Etienne played in all 17 regular-season games in 2022 en route to logging 220 carries for 1,125 yards and five TDs to go along with 35 catches (on 45 targets) for 316 yards. This coming season, the 24-year-old remains entrenched atop a Jacksonville RB depth chart that also includes rookie third-rounder Tank Bigsby, JaMycal Hasty, D'Ernest Johnson and Snoop Conner. In that context, an uptick in production from Etienne in his third year as a pro is plausible, considering his big-play potential in the team's Trevor Lawrence-helmed offense.

  • Jaguars' Tyler Shatley: Dealing with minor issue

Shatley (undisclosed) missed practice Thursday due to a minor medical issue, Mark Long of the Associated Press reports.

Shatley is expected to be fine according to Long, although there are no specifics as to what the issue may be. Once healthy, Shatley should return to working to earn a depth role on the Jaguars' offensive line.

  • Jaguars' Calvin Ridley: Toe issue related to cleats

The Jaguars relayed that the toe issue that bothered Ridley earlier Wednesday was caused by the cleats the wideout had been wearing, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

DiRocco notes that Ridley eventually switched cleats, which is expected to resolve the issue. Though the wideout had been in for limited work at Wednesday's practice, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union relays that Ridley was able to join team drills. Ridley, who didn't play last season while serving a suspension for violating the NFL's gambling policy, has been "one of the top players of camp thus far" for the Jaguars, according to Harvey.

  • Jaguars' Calvin Ridley: Limited with minor toe injury

Ridley will be limited at Wednesday's practice due to a toe injury that isn't considered serious, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports. "He'll be fine," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said. "We were sort of cautionary with [Ridley on Tuesday]. He'll be back out there and we'll just monitor him and limit the amount of running that he'll do."

Ridley missed portions of Tuesday's practice and could be on a similar schedule Wednesday. The wideout has drawn positive reviews early on in training camp after he missed the entire 2022 season while serving a gambling-related suspension.

  • Jaguars' Calvin Ridley: Limited Tuesday

Ridley (undisclosed) sat out portions of Tuesday's practice, the Jaguars' official site reports.

According to Channel 4 Jacksonville, Ridley stopped participating in drills midway through Tuesday's session and headed over to sit in the team's cooling tent. Though the wideout subsequently rejoined his teammates, Ridley didn't return to the field. With that in mind, it appears as though the 28-year-old's limitations weren't injury related, and chances are he'll be back in action the next time the Jaguars take the field.

  • Jaguars' Anton Harrison: Hampered by injury

Harrison is dealing with a shoulder injury that kept him out of parts of practice Tuesday, Mark Long of the Associated Press reports.

It's unclear what the severity of Harrison's injury is, but considering he's still technically practicing with the team, it's unlikely to be severe. Selected in the first round of the 2023 Draft, Harrison should be working to earn a starting role, especially with Cam Robinson slated to miss the first four games of the season due to violating the league's rules against performance-enhancing drugs. Harrison will work to get healthy so that he can be a full participant in camp moving forward.
