  • Seahawks' Darrell Taylor: Sprains shoulder

Taylor has a sprained left shoulder, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

Taylor suffered the injury at Tuesday's practice, but it will not requre surgery according to Bridget Condon of NFL Network. Still, he is currently without a timetable for return, but expect the Seahawks to err on the side of caution with their starting weakside linebacker.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Not practicing yet

Walker (groin) is present at Thursday's practice but doesn't have a helmet, Bridget Condon of NFL Network reports.

Walker has been out for about a week now, which coach Pete Carroll using the term "week-to-week" to describe his status Monday. Meanwhile, fellow running back Zach Charbonnet (shoulder) is back in action sooner than expected after missing only three practices, giving him a nice opportunity to take more snaps with the starters while Walker remains limited to observing from the sideline.

  • Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Returns to practice

Charbonnet (shoulder) returned Thursday after missing only three practices, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

It didn't sound great Sunday when coach Pete Carroll used the team "out indefinitely" to discuss Charbonnet, who had just joined fellow running back Kenneth Walker (groin) on the team's list of injured players. As it turns out, Charbonnet is back in action already, albeit for a practice without full pads, while Walker remains limited to observer status on the sideline. Both are expected to be healthy before Week 1, or perhaps even long before then. In the meantime, Walker's continued absences should allow Charbonnet to get more snaps with the starters. The workload division between the pair of recent second-round picks has been much-discussed in recent months but may be hard to truly decipher until the regular season.

  • Seahawks' Liam Ryan: Links up with Seattle

Ryan agreed to terms on a contract with the Seahawks on Monday.

Ryan will now return to Seattle, where he spent time on the practice squad last season. The 25-year-old should have an opportunity to compete for a depth job, as the team currently lacks experienced tackles behind starters Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas.

  • Seahawks' Damien Lewis: Back at practice

Lewis is practicing Monday after sitting out Sunday with an illness, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

The left guard's illness was not considered serious, and he was expected to return this week. The 2020 third-round pick has started all 45 games he's played in over three seasons. Lewis is projected to be Seattle's starting left guard in 2023.

  • Seahawks' Olusegun Oluwatimi: Healthy again

Oluwatimi (wrist) returned to practice Monday, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports.

It was reported earlier this week that Oluwatimi was dealing with a wrist injury but he's seemingly put it behind him. The 2023 fifth-round pick is slated to provide solid depth behind starter Evan Brown in the coming season.

  • Seahawks' SaRodorick Thompson: Signs with Seattle

Thompson signed with the Seahawks on Monday.

Thompson will head to Seattle and provide depth following injuries to Kenneth Walker (groin) and Zach Charbonnet (shoulder). The 23-year-old originally signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent back in April only to be waived two months later. Thompson will now look to make the most of his opportunity while Walker and Charbonnet recover from their injuries.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Called week-to-week by coach

Coach Pete Carroll labeled Walker (groin) week-to-week Monday, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.

Carroll said the team is taking a cautious approach with Walker and fellow injured running back Zach Charbonnet (shoulder) to avoid exacerbating their injuries. While Seattle's top two running backs heal, DeeJay Dallas and Kenny McIntosh will have more prominent roles in practice. We may not see Walker in a game situation until Week 1 against the Rams on Sunday, Sept. 10.
