Bengals' Joe Burrow: Out for 'several' weeks
Coach Zac Taylor said Friday that Burrow is expected to miss "several weeks" with a calf strain, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
The comment hints at Burrow missing most or all of training camp and the preseason but having enough time to get ready for Week 1. The quarterback strained his calf during Thursday's practice, giving him six and a half weeks to recover before a Sept. 10 home opener against the division-rival Browns. If Burrow's recovery lags, the Bengals have Trevor Siemian and Jake Browning behind him in the QB room, with Siemian being the favorite to make fill-in starts.

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Dealing with calf strain
Bengals sources have reportedly confirmed that Burrow suffered a strained right calf during Thursday's practice, Dianna Russini of ESPN reports.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Burrow is slated to undergo further testing, after which there should be a degree of added clarity with regard to the severity of QB's injury. For any length of time that Burrow is sidelined, Trevor Siemian and Jake Browning will handle the Bengals' signal-caller duties.

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Slated to undergo further testing
Burrow, who suffered what is believed to be a calf strain during Thursday's practice, is slated to undergo further testing to assess his injury, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports via NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Though the Bengals have yet to elaborate on the nature of the QB's right calf issue, coach Zac Taylor did relay after Thursday's session that the team would have a better understanding of the severity of Burrow's injury soon. At this point, there's no timetable for the signal-caller's return to the field, but we'd expect the 26-year-old to miss some time in any case. If that transpires, Trevor Siemian and Jake Browning would be in line to handle practice reps in Burrow's absence.

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Suffers calf injury Thursday
Coach Zac Taylor confirmed that Burrow sustained a calf injury during Thursday's practice, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
The severity of the issue has yet to be determined, but it's worth noting that prior to going down on the field and then being carted away Thursday, Burrow had been sporting a sleeve on his calf. For now, consider the Bengals' star QB day-to-day.

Burrow was carted off the field Thursday after appearing to sustain a leg injury, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Conway notes that the QB grabbed his calf after going down on the field Thursday. At this point, it's too early to get a read on the severity of Burrow's issue, but this is clearly a situation to monitor closely. Next up for the Bengals' signal-caller reps should Burrow miss any time are Trevor Siemian and Jake Browning.
