Browning (knee) was placed on the active/PUP list Sunday.
Browning had arthroscopic surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus earlier this offseason, and it was expected that he could start the season on the PUP list. It's still unclear if he'll be ready Week 1, but he'll be eligible to return to the field once he can pass a physical.

Browning (knee) will likely begin the season on the PUP list, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports.
Browning missed OTAs after he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery this offseason to repair a partially torn meniscus. If the Broncos place the linebacker on the Reserve/PUP list ahead of Week 1, he would be forced to miss at least the first four games of the 2023 season. Browning's injury status was a contributing factor in the Broncos signing Frank Clark last week to bolster their defensive front.

Browning has missed the entirety of OTAs so far after receiving surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus. While there's hope that 2021 third-round pick could be ready for part of training camp, it's possible that he might not be ready for the start of the regular season in which case Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper would likely have bigger roles

Broncos' Baron Browning: Misses OTAs due to knee procedure
Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reported Thursday that Browning (knee) has missed all three OTA practices open to the media this offseason.
Per the report, the reason for Browning's absence was that he underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus. Browning moved into a starting role for the Broncos last season after Randy Gregory went down with a knee injury and Bradley Chubb was traded to the Dolphins midseason. The 2021 third-rounder had 24 tackles, five sacks and one interception in 14 games in 2022.

Browning was unable to play in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs, but he should be good to go Week 18 against the Chargers. His ability to play should be a boost to the team's linebacker corps.

After missing the first two practices to open Week 17 prep before logging a limited session Friday due to a back issue, Browning ultimately won't dress for Sunday's contest versus Kansas City. With six other Broncos' linebackers currently on injured reserve, Nik Bonitto, Alex Singleton, Josey Jewell and Jonathon Cooper are slated to start this weekend.

Browning (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Browning logged one tackle while playing his usual share of defensive snaps during last Sunday's loss to the Rams, though it appears he came away from the contest with a back injury. This issue then kept the 23-year-old linebacker sidelined during practice Wednesday and Thursday before he worked his way back in a limited fashion Friday. Browning has played around two-thirds of Denver's defensive snaps in each of the last six games, so his potential absence could leave both Nik Bonitto and Jonathan Cooper to step into starting roles with Randy Gregory (knee) already ruled out versus Kansas City.
