Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey: Expected to miss most of season
Ramsey (knee) had his left meniscus repaired Friday and is expected to miss most of the 2023 season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The report says Ramsey will be out until December, an outcome he hinted at Thursday when he tweeted that his "end of the season push" would be "legendary." Other players have missed entire seasons after summer meniscus repairs -- including then-Vikings TE Irv Smith in 2021 -- but there's at least some chance for a same-season return in this case, given that Ramsey suffered the injury at the very start of training camp and is on a team with a realistic chance at a deep postseason run. That chance would be better with Ramsey in the Week 1 lineup, of course, but the Dolphins still have a respectable-looking CB group between standout Xavien Howard, slot man Kader Kohou, second-round rookie Cam Smith and former slot starter Nik Needham. They've also got thee starting-caliber safeties in Jevon Holland, DeShon Elliott and Brandon Jones

Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey: Undergoing knee surgery Friday
Ramsey (knee) is set to undergo surgery on his left meniscus Friday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN reports.
Coach Mike McDaniel said Ramsey's return timeline has yet be determined, but the cornerback won't be ready for the start of the season. Louis-Jacques adds that a source told his ESPN colleague Adam Schefter that Ramsey could be looking at a multi-month recovery. A more concrete return timeline will likely be established once Ramsey begins his post-surgery rehab process.

Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey: Expected to miss 6-8 weeks
Ramsey is expected to miss at least 6-to-8 weeks due to a meniscus injury that will require surgery, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Ramsey's ACL is intact, but the star cornerback is destined to miss some time due to his meniscus issue. Pelissero adds that the length of Ramsey's looming recovery will hinge on what level of surgical repair doctors determine is needed. Either way, it appears as though Ramsey's Week 1 status is unclear.

Ramsey was injured after colliding with Tyreek Hill in practice Thursday and is set to undergo surgery on the meniscus in his left knee. An exact timeline remains unclear and will ultimately depend on how surgery goes, and it's possible that he could be sidelined for up to "a few months."

Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey: MRI coming
Ramsey (knee) is undergoing an MRI on his left knee in the near future, Alain Poupart of Sports Illustrated reports.
After colliding with All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill during Thursday's training camp, Ramsey was carted off the field with a left knee injury. The three-time All-Pro was acquired by Miami this offseason for a 2023 third-round pick. The MRI will tell us more about the seriousness of the stud cornerback's injury.

Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey: Carted off
Ramsey was carted to the locker room after suffering an injury during practice to what appeared to be his left knee Thursday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
A big offseason addition for Miami, Ramsey's tenure isn't off to a good start. After grabbing his left knee following a play guarding Tyreek Hill, the six-time Pro Bowl cornerback was checked out by trainers on the sideline. The extent of his injury is unknown for now.
