Patriots' Cody Davis: Starts camp on PUP list
Davis (knee) has been placed on New England's active/PUP list to start training camp, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Davis underwent season-ending knee surgery in October of last season. The 33-year-old has played just 19 defensive snaps during his tenure with the team, but he's considered a special-teams asset. He will be eligible to practice and play in the preseason at any point once his health allows it.

Patriots' Cody Davis: Staying in New England
The Patriots re-signed Davis (knee) on Saturday.
Davis, who is coming off of season ending knee surgery, has spent the past three seasons in New England and will now return for the 2023 campaign. A special teams star, the 33-year-old has played just 19 defensive snaps during his time with the Patriots. Though he may not see the field on defense, Davis will look to once again bring solid value to special teams for next season.

Patriots' Cody Davis: Having season-ending surgery
Davis (knee) will undergo season-ending surgery in the near future, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Davis was placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in Week 6 versus the Browns and is officially done for the season. The safety will finish his year with six tackles while playing 106 snaps with the special-teams unit.

Davis (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Davis suffered the injury in the first half of Sunday's win over the Patriots. The 33-year-old has played exclusively on special teams this season through the first six games. He'll now be forced to miss at least the next four weeks.

Patriots' Cody Davis: Won't return Sunday
Davis (knee) was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Browns, Mark Daniels reports.
Davis appears to have sustained a knee injury at some point during the first half, leaving him sidelined until at least next week's game against Chicago on Monday, Oct. 24. The 33-year-old did not record a tackle on 99 special-teams snaps over the first five games of the season.
